Recap - Paradise otherwise known as White Swan Hotel

Dani had her first plane ride yesterday! We all survived. With her ears stuffed it wasn't always pleasant for her, but her fussiness is really nothing.

We arrive at the White Swan Hotel last night in Guangzhou - this place is beautiful, and nicely air conditioned - a drastic change from the fleabag hotel in Taiyuan.

We met the Sanders at breakfast - the third family from our agency. Breakfast is WONDERFUL! We couldn't decide where to start. Dani had a little bit of a lot of things - egg, french toast, cantalope, banana, apple, watermelon, tater tots...and that was after a bottle and cheerios!

We headed for the girls' medical exams. Everyone survived, but the girls were not happy about it! Our guide Simon seemed to pull strings for us - we seemed to slide through more quickly than some other families waiting there. Our 21 lbs. peanut squirmed and cried and charmed one of the doctors into giving her a tambourine to keep (she probably wouldn't have let it go!).

While Elliot and Dani played in the room and then Dani went down for a nap, I completed all the paperwork with our guide so that we're ready for our Monday consulate appointment.

Thinking about doing some shopping now.....
